The Contagious Energy on the Mat

From the first matches of the little ones aged 4 and 5 to the more technical clashes of the 15-year-old teens, the energy was palpable. In the stands, proud parents cheered. On the mat, attentive instructors guided. And, at the center of it all, the children demonstrated incredible maturity and focus. We observed, for example, the application of fundamental techniques. We also saw creative sweeps, persistent guard passes, and submission attempts with a lot of heart.

The most beautiful thing, however, was the respect between competitors. They bowed to each other before and after each match. They helped their opponent up. This shows that the values taught at Start Jiu Jitsu Pembroke Pines are being truly absorbed.

It was inspiring to see the bravery of our youngest students, some only 4 years old. They faced nervousness and the challenge with a smile.
